Michael is a Partner at an international law firm in Chicago practicing labor and employment defense law. Three years ago, he created a board game called Rep Your City for his hometown (Detroit) and then another for his home of the last 18 years (Chicago). Using his love for games and experience creating board games, he and his Team decided to create Rep Your Music. This game takes their love for music, fierce competition, and the joy of seeing people laugh, dance, sing, and have fun to a different level. Michael’s favorite music is 90’s Hip Hop and R&B.

Jasmine is an Orthotist/Prosthetist that has designed, built, and fit prosthetic devices for amputees for over ten years. She is a Chicago native but lived all over the US before returning to the city she loves. During a road trip from Chicago to Detroit, Jasmine and Michael had an intense four-hour music battle in the car. They played everything from Michael Jackson, to Marvin Gaye, to Jay Z. From this, Rep Your Music was born. Jasmine, a lover of all forms of music, enjoys combining all of the music stacks to play multiple genres at once.

Nik is a Licensed Counselor and High School Counselor. She was born and raised in Detroit. After Michael and Jasmine’s road trip, they shared their idea with Nik - a music connoisseur. She immediately started coming up with R&B, Oldies But Goodies, and Hip Hop topics for the game. The trio of creators then played rough draft versions of the game with family and friends and received very positive feedback. Over 15 prototypes later, the games went into production. Nik is a lover of all genres of music. She believes that music should speak to you.
